Before the calendars flip and the sweaters come out, there’s still time to soak up every moment summer has to offer. Our certified self-care expert put together an end-of-summer bucket list designed to help you end the season feeling refreshed, not rushed.
1. Take a hammock nap
Find a little shade, cue up the cicadas, and let yourself drift into the lazy breeze and the gentle sway of doing absolutely nothing. Bonus points for bringing a can of Fortune Favors—the perfect pre-nap snack that’s sweet, satisfying, and requires zero effort (unlike getting out of that hammock).
2. Go for a bike ride
Cruise around your neighborhood and savor the sounds of summer, the cool breeze, and the extended daylight. Add some adventure by planning in stops at local business or grabbing a few groceries at the store!
3. Spend all day at the pool
Sunscreen on. Book in hand. Zero plans. Whether you’re floating, sunning, or perfecting your cannonball, give yourself permission to linger poolside from morning till golden hour. Don't forget to pack a few 4oz cans in your pool tote and take plenty of snack breaks!
4. Plan a picnic dinner for one
Grab a blanket and pack a cooler full of cheese, cured meats, and all your favorite snacks! Find a quiet spot to setup and treat yourself to a relaxing evening (sunset viewing optional).
5. Kick back at a baseball game
One of the best ways to take in summer is watching your favorite team while you sip on a cold beverage and graze on a salty snack. (Most stadiums allow some form of carry-in food — check your stadium's website for restrictions.) Go Brewers! ;)
