The Gold — Sweet & Salty Georgia Candied Pecans

Sweet and salty candied pecans born under a warm, golden sun in the rich Georgia soil and raised by a consortium of Black-owned farms led by New Communities Inc., one of the first community land trusts in the U.S.

This farm along with several others turned the loss of their original land due to discrimination into a story of resilience and opportunity. Today, this African American-owned-and-run pecan orchard and center for social justice is building a future for black farmers in southern Georgia. To learn more, visit newcommunitiescp.com.
