When’s the last time you had a spicy quiche? If you answered never then we have something special for you. With the addition of The Spicy pecans, not to mention bacon, this recipe has something a little extra that pretty much all quiches are lacking…complex flavors!
This recipe can be made gluten free with an easy adaptation of the pastry shell!
Ingredients
½ lb. spinach (raw or cooked and well-drained)1 Tbsp. butter (melted)8 slices bacon (cooked, crumbled)4 eggs (beaten)½ tsp. salt1 dash nutmeg1 onion (chopped)⅓ cup The Spicy pecans (chopped)1 cup cheddar or Swiss cheese (shredded)2 cups half and half1 dash black pepper9” quiche/pastry shell (gluten free or keto if you want!)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
- Prepare quiche/pastry shell and bake at 450 degrees for five minutes.
- Combine all ingredients and pour into baked quiche shell. Bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes.
- Bake another 5-10 minutes more, until knife inserted off center comes out clean.
- Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
