RECIPE: Papa Bear Whole Grain Pecan Waffles

waffle on a plate with blueberries and pecans on top, with syrup on the side in a pitcher

Here’s an easy and healthy waffle recipe that uses Kodiak Cakes Power Cakes mix with some added flex to please the hungriest bears in your family!

three photos: Kodiak Cakes mix, waffle in a waffle iron, stack of whole-grain waffles
2 cups Kodiak Cakes Power Cakes mix
1/3 cup oat bran
2 eggs, separated
2 cups milk
2 Tbsp butter, melted and cooled
1 Tbsp oil
1 cup roughly chopped The Classic pecans, plus some for topping

Separate egg whites into mixing bowl and whip until stiff peaks form, set aside. In a large bowl, whisk egg yolks together with milk, butter and oil. Add dry ingredients and stir, do not overmix. Fold in egg whites until incorporated, again, do not overmix! Fold in Fortune Favors The Classic and allow to sit for 15 minutes before cooking while you prepare toppings — suggest blueberries, strawberries, vanilla yogurt, butter, maple syrup, and plenty of Fortune Favors The Classic!
Cook waffles according to your waffle iron’s capacity and heat settings, and serve hot. Freeze extra waffles and reheat at 375 degrees F for 8–10 minutes.

These delicious, protein-packed waffles come together in about 30 mins!
