2024 was our biggest year yet and we want to share the annual highlights with our wonderful community of customers, supporters, and partners. Thank you for your continued support and we’re looking forward to another milestone year in 2025!
We were featured in an episode of Wisconsin Foodie!
Luke Zahm and crew spent a day filming our production process and chatting with his former co-worker and friend, Eric Rupert (our founder). We were honored to share the episode with Mayana Chocolate, the makers of our best-selling Magic Bar. In the three days following the airing in February, we shattered sales records and fulfilled over 1200 orders! Watch the episode here!
We were named Wisconsin Small Business Persons of the Year by the SBA!
Not just one, but all three members of our leadership team (Sam, Jess, and Eric) received the 2024 Wisconsin Small Business Persons of the Year Award given out by the Small Business Administration. The trio traveled to Washington, D.C. to accept and celebrate the prestigious award. Read the press release here!
Our candied pecans made a cameo on Season 21 of Top Chef!
The good news didn’t stop coming. In Episode 11 of Top Chef Wisconsin, contestant Danny Garcia was spotted on national television snacking on a can of Fortune Favors The Classic. Our leadership team subsequently appeared on two podcasts: The Cap Times’ The Corner Table and Screw It, Let’s Do This to talk about our not-so-little spotlight and more!
We did some traveling!
Our staff exhibited at several different trade shows including Fancy Food in New York City, Sweets & Snacks in Indianapolis, distributor shows in Austin, and One of a Kind in Chicago.
Our pecans have also been shared all over the globe thanks to our adventurous customers! In 2024, you brought Fortune Favors to Switzerland, France, Italy, Brazil, the Rocky Mountains, and the Great Smoky Mountains!
We released a new flavor!
The Mesquite: A magical mix of barbecue-inspired sweet, salty, and smoky pecans. Our freshest flavor has been in the works for four years when our co-founder and COO, Jess, first started daydreaming about a barbecue-flavored candied pecan. Over the years, she worked with Chef Eric to tweak the recipe, making sure it matched the vegan, gluten-free, and low sugar standards of the rest of our products.
We celebrated our 6th birthday!
Are we officially old? Just kidding. But we've come a long way since our humble beginnings in 2018 as a father-son team selling only one flavor. Since then we've added over a dozen new products, landed on thousands of doorsteps across the nation, and changed our name! THANK YOU, our loyal customers, for sharing Fortune Favors with friends and family, adding us to your charcuterie boards, and inspiring us with new recipe ideas. Here's to many more years of extraordinary candied pecans!
We expanded nationally!
We launched in over 150 new Whole Foods stores throughout the south and southeast U.S. Find us in the specialty area of these stores next to cheese, wine, and other charcuterie essentials.
We launched in 89 Roundy’s stores (Metro Market, Pick ‘N Save, and Mariano’s) in Wisconsin and northern Illinois. Find us in the Murray’s Cheese section of these stores.
We launched in Fresh Thyme stores throughout the Midwest. Find us in the local section or local “endcaps” at the end of aisles in these stores.

Eric showcased FF on QVC!
More national television?! Yep. Eric ironed out his chef coat for this live gig at QVC headquarters outside of Philadelphia. We fulfilled over 400 orders after our feature… It’s safe to say Eric knocked it out of the park! Watch the clip here.
We supported our Madison community ❤️
We launched an annual Teacher & Staff Appreciation Days Sale in the spring, donated our back parking lot (and lots of nuts) to Madison Bikes for their film festival at the Barrymore, hosted a Level 5 Donuts popup, set up our driveway for cooking-selling Girl Scouts, and volunteered at the Goodman Community Center’s Thanksgiving Basket Drive.
We had fun!
